The We Learn Program (WLP) seeks:
i) to avail educational resources to children from financially and culturally-challenged households and
ii) to educate and support the parents to
manage the challenges that range from after school placement, computer
procurement, use and maintenance, homework and educational trips. Every year,
ISF, Inc, through the WLP organizes the Spelling Bee as the crown event. This
event is basically a spelling bee but it also engages participants in reading,
comprehension and writing aptitudes. Parents get to exchange notes about best
practices, resources availability and managing the relationships with their
children's teachers.
WLP targets children from age 3 through high school and their parents, usually fiscally challenged Americans but increasingly immigrants.

By connecting parents and children to educational resources, we level the ground and thus act as a acculturation/Americanization catalyst. The end result will be better adjustment by the children involved. The Intercontinental Science Foundation Inc, insists on two ideals: passion for the common good and an open mind, willing to learn and grow.
